Diagnostic Imaging

This very active department provides a wide variety of routine and specialized diagnostic examinations in radiography, general ultrasound, mammography, echocardiography, carotid and peripheral vascular imaging, as well as bone mineral densitometry.

Bone mineral densitometry uses low dose radiation to assess bone mass and determine fracture risk. This information assists physicians to diagnose & plan the appropriate treatment according to risk factor.

We are an affiliate center for the Ontario Breast Screening Program.

Our facility is a clinical placement for ultrasound students from College Boreal and Cambrian College in Sudbury.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department is open from 8:00 AM - 5:00PM Monday to Friday while providing on-call services in radiology after hours and on week-ends.
